Cons: Why does it always seem that there are some bosses who have the uber cheap one-hit-kill move even when you're at max level?
Pros: Chrono Trigger is probably the definitive RPG experience. It was long, had an excellent story, great customization for each character, tons of items, lots of secrets to uncover, alternate endings depending on how you played through the game, time travel changing things in the future, combination magic attacks, and the list could go on and on. The game had humor, drama, romance, and an epic music score. The party members are memorable and none of them felt like they were just along for the ride, which happens sometimes in games with large casts of party members. The battles are turn-based, per se, but really you can attack as long as your meter fills up. This allows for faster paced battles that work without interrupting the flow of the game or making you ponder too long about the appropriate moves, magic, or combination attacks to use. There are no random battles and you level up consistently without being forced to hunker down and level grind. The ability to restart the game at maximum levels earned from the last playthrough allows you to earn all manner of different endings including the ability to beat the game at the start of the game. Simply one of the best RPG experiences you can ever play, and you will play it over and over.
Cons: Why does it always seem that there are some bosses who have the uber cheap one-hit-kill move even when you're at max level?
