Pros: Bastion is an action RPG that takes place in a lush and beautiful world shattered by what is called the "Great Calamity". You play as "the Kid" who seems to be the sole survivor of this catastrophe, left to rebuild his broken world. However, he is guided by "the Narrator" who announces the Kid's every triumph and downfall. The Narrator brings storytelling in a game to all new heights and it is executed perfectly in this game. There is never a dull moment in Bastion with his witty commentary and sultry voice.

This game is all about the action with a slight RPG element to it. Equipped with two weapons and a special attack, the Kid must make his way collecting shards to rebuild his world. There are a variety of weapons to collect and the ability to customize your load-out and upgrade them allows you to tailor-fit the game to your fighting style. Leveling up also unlocks passive abilities for you to choose from. There are also 'mods' to unlock at the Temple, which ramp up the difficulty in the game. The more mods you have turned on, the greater the reward in experience and in-game currency. With so many things to customize in the game, it's hard for any single level to be the same if you like to switch up your weapons.

The presentation of this game is simply superb. From the gorgeous menus to easy to pick up and play controls, Bastion is a highly polished game. I could not help but gawk at the detail and artistic elements of the world and its scenery. It can be best described as playing in a watercolor wonderland. As you progress through the stages, the world is built right before you and makes for some very breathtaking scenes. And what of the music? Bastion's soundtrack is also done very well! When the upbeat tempo of the background music starts raring, you know you're in for a brutal fight.

Pros: This fast-paced game will keep you on the edge of your seats and your eyeballs screaming for moisture. In this game, you are basically free falling from the sky, down towards a small landing pad in which the journey from point A to B is littered with obstacles that you must maneuver to obtain massive points by scoring tricks.

There are plenty of levels and challenges to do so this game should keep you occupied for awhile.Overall though, decent game to have. Grab it when on sale.

Cons: I'd say the difficulty of this game is up there and frustration is inevitable for certain challenges. Controls are a little tough since even the slightest movements will crash you into the side of a building or you'll end up faceplanting some random obstacle at terminal velocity.

I also found it hard to go back to this game because to me it's a one-trick pony. It's fun for the first few times but it gets old quick.

Pros: How much do you value your precious free time and the amount of blood, sweat and tears that you may lose from being frustrated at a game? Well, regardless of what bodily fluids you may lose over playing this game, SMB is an awesome game. It is hardcore tough. Completionists may take a liking to this game because there is a lot to do and masochists...well, you get the point. This game is tough.

You play as Meat Boy, a lovable wad of meat who is trying to rescue Bandage Girl from being kidnapped by Dr. Fetus. Awesome already isn't it? You must get from point A to point B in each stage while maneuvering sometimes very difficult obstacles. There are 7 worlds to beat, usually with 20 stages each, an additional 20 stages that are more challenging, boss stages, and secret hidden levels. There are extra characters to unlock (many of them you may recognize from other games) and each with their own special ability.

Cons: Tough as nails platformer may be a turn off to some looking to play a casual game. Also, turn back now if you don't want to realize you actually have a potty mouth.

Pros: Amazing game play mechanics, seriously challenging puzzles and an incredibly deep story with beautiful art. Manipulating time has never been so fun! You traverse through each of the five worlds, collecting puzzle pieces that are very difficult to get.

Once I started playing, I couldn't stop. After completing the game, try the speed challenges to really test your skills. It took me an agonizing (but oh so enjoyable) 6 hours to play through the entire game without any breaks and help. Now I'm ready to beat the entire game+collecting all puzzle pieces in under 45min for the speed challenge achievement. Old school gamers will enjoy the Mario references too :)

Overall, a great game with great storytelling! You must add this to your game collection!

Pros: Bit.Trip Beat is an awesome game that you can play while enjoying the music you help to create. It brings a bit of old school retro gaming to the table with a modern twist. Think of this game as one-player pong on steroids at a rave.

The goal of the game is to reflect all incoming 'beats' and every successful reflect makes a sound that goes along with the music. If you continue to do well, the music gets more intense but if you miss and do poorly, you'll eventually be taken to a black and white world with no music, reminiscent of PONG, until you do better.

Great music and simple controls makes this game easy to pick up and play. The powerups and in-game challenges brings a bit of spice to the game as well.

Cons: Game boasts too few worlds. In the PC version, there are 3 worlds plus an extra level from that Valve Potato ARG event for the release of Portal 2.

Also, the game can get somewhat challenging, even on easy. Not only that, playing through a world can sometimes feel like eternity since there are several levels in each world. You need to play through all of them without exiting to reach the boss.

Pros: Boasting an awesome retro sounding soundtrack, intuitive controls, and fun level designs, EDGE is a hit in my book! This game is a platformer first and puzzle game second. You play as a colorful cube and must move from start to finish while collecting prisms along the way and navigating obstacles and hazards. Mastering "EDGE Time" (a neat little trick to balance your cube to cut down on time) will help out with your leaderboard scores. EDGE is easy to pick up and play but challenging to master! A simple game but that's what makes it so enjoyable.

Cons: The world of EDGE is very bland in color. Not quite as colorful as TWO Tribe's other game, RUSH was. Also, I was hoping there would be some sort of soundtrack selector since there were a few tracks that I truly enjoyed listening to while playing. At times you will not be able to move your cube in certain directions and I wished this was explained in the game. Very minor details though.
