Pros: To put it simply, NBA Jam is the complete opposite of NBA 2K11. Jam is all about high flying dunks, monstrous blocks, and lighting the hoop on fire. EA Sports does a great job of bringing back everything that we loved about the old arcade game. The gameplay is fast and exciting (nothing beats throwing down a monstrous dunk that shatters the backboard). Executing the various dunks, blocks, and shoves is easily done with a shake of the wii-mote. The graphics are improved from the arcade version combining smooth animation and hilarious facial expressions. While I mainly played a quick game with friends, there is quite a bit of replay value through a variety of modes such as 21 and season mode. Overall, the game is a lot of fun and great to play with three friends.
Cons: There aren’t a lot of problems with the game, assuming you’re the type of person that enjoys absolutely ridiculous games. In my opinion, the game eventually got old because I wanted something a little more realistic. For this reason, I tend to play Jam only when there are people around who want to play two on two. The only other problem with the game is the difficult settings in the season mode. Normal is too easy, and hard is a little too hard.
