Pros: A cute, highly colorful viking game (weird!), Happy Vikings consists of moving your smiling raider around his ship, arranging like items of three, such as gold or sheep, and then have them disappear. More will fall from the sky, prompting you to move them around in fast speed, trying to get as much points as possible. You have the simple action of picking up any item and moving across the screen to set it down somewhere else. You can arrange items horizontally or vertically. The real trick is to get a whole bunch near each other, leaving more room for other treasures to rain down. A pretty simple game premise, it can grab your attention quickly as you rapidly try to complete the level successfully.

Cons: It doesn't seem to be that hard to lose a level, for even as a whole bunch of items were falling on top of my head (reminding of my young and nerve-biting days of Tetris) I was still able to pass the level easily enough. The colorful and happy atmosphere is nice to look at, though might put off any gruff players- though it's no where near the level of sugar-inducing happiness such as Candy Ninja-Cat. Still, Happy Vikings is a neat game with a simple premise that many young players will understand fairly quickly

Pros: A physics puzzle game, Marbians stars little aliens in glass balls that have crashed into Roswell in the 50's. In order to get back home, they need to collect some moon rocks for their ship. Through each level, you shoot the little aliens in a 2d map shown from the top perspective. To shoot, the player must drag their finger back from the alien, choosing the direction of the shot and power, then let go. In most of the levels, you'll have several aliens to shoot, and you only can shoot each alien throughout the level once, depending on how long they've been bouncing across the walls. The maps will change as you progress, complete with moving parts and magnets and more, and the levels will also really difficult, really fast. Complete with a 50-esque art style and music, the game does its best at immersing you in its atmosphere.

Cons: While the levels are challenging, they can also get frustrating, sometimes more so than they seem to even need to be. It may take you several tries to shoot your alien in the direction you want, but ricochet into a completely new path. Aside from some of the difficulty, Marbians is a charming little game that should be played at least a couple of times.

Pros: Bubble Ball is an exceedingly simple game. Your goal is to get your ball rolling towards the goal, and the only way to do so is to create a path for it using blocks and such to guide its way. Some things are affected by the gravity, such as wood pieces, while some aren't like the metal ones. Some shapes can also be rotated to work toward your goal. A very simple premise that can attract your attention for a short time- but that's all it really is.

Cons: The game is not very polished. The backgrounds are completely white and dull, and there is virtually no music. The only sounds are those of your bouncing ball and the horn that blares when you make it past the goal. The physics themselves can be a little bit weird; sometimes the ball rolls a bit faster than you really expect it to, or the block pieces don't arrange quite the way you want them to. Honestly, if there were at least some kind of music or more sound effects, or heck, even some graphics in the background, I might have stayed with this game longer than I did. But when you're stuck at a level for more then five minutes, things start getting old really fast, especially when there's barely anything there to immerse you.

It's neat that this game was made by a 14 year old, and how such an app can be quite popular. This game a had a lot of potential, and could definitely turn out a lot better if some things were worked out and had some presentation to it. As of now, it's "okay." Since it's a free app, it doesn't really hurt to take a look into, but don't get your expectations up.

Pros: Shantae: Risky's Revenge is a fun little game where you take control of a half-genie girl with long hair for a weapon and some dance moves. The villainess, Risky Boots, has stolen a seemingly ordinary looking lamp, and Shantae takes it upon herself to go after the pirate and find out just why she has taken such an interest in the old relic. Shantae, like its predecessor, is a platformer type of game as you explore the different landscapes and come across some bizarre-looking characters, such as Sky, the war-bird trainer, and Rottytops, a zombie girl. You'll come across some secret alcoves, finding additional items, and fight enemies off with your hair and magic. Graphics are done smoothly, and it's fun just watching Shantae move and fight.

Cons: While done well on the DS, the iOS version could have been better. I personally do not like the d-pad all that much on the iPhone and found it a bit awkward to use when moving Shantae across the screen, though I can understand it was the best way to do so. I'm also not thrilled that the game couldn't implement an autosave feature for the iPhone especially, since it's on a device that can get calls and such unexpectedly. It's always awkward for me to play such games on a flat screen without the use of physical buttons, but it does work well so far.

An excellent game, Shantae: Risky's Revenge is worth a play, especially if you were a fan of the first game.

Pros: The Game of Life is an unexpectedly fun game. Like the traditional game, you pick one person, starting off with a set amount of money and a career. In either a solo game or one with friends, you can have up to four people play. As you move across the board, you'll have to make choices onto what paths to take, such as either go back to school to try to gain another job, or keep going along your way. Gameplay can be lengthy depending on certain factors, but it's always fun just watching yourself ease through Life with a fortune, or watching other players keep going broke.

Graphics consist of watching your player, which is basically a colored block drive around in their solid colored car across a 3d board with some buildings and trees placed around. The music is nice and easy, which fits well for this type of game.

Cons: Events that happen to your player can feel quite random and is difficult to prepare for. Even when apparently getting a rather good career, you can easily lose your money by landing on a bad space, or you can just as randomly amass a fortune just by landing on a space that allowed you to win a contest. Just like real life, it's hard to know what to expect, no matter how prepared you might be. But perhaps it is this that makes the game fun, and how each gameplay can be a different experience. It would also have been neat to implement some kind of online play, instead of just the pass n' play option they have now.

If you want a bit more forethought to your game, then it's best to steer clear from this. Still, Game of Life is full of ups and downs that can make it fun, especially with friends. Worth at least a look into.

Pros: Burn the Rope is a neat little game where you must guide your fiery little friend across said ropes. A unique puzzle game, all are constructed into different patterns and images. The fire only burns upwards too, so you must tilt and turn your screen to eat away at the ropes. As you move through each level, you'll encounter bugs that change the color of your flame, allowing you to burn away ropes of the same color, or those that shoot webs across that will give you access to another part of the level. Your flames will also divide up, giving you a bit of a challenge to successfully burn up all the ropes on your screen.

Cons: The game has a high number of levels, complete with some addictive gameplay. Trying to tilt your flame around the corners can be really tricky however, and the game could've used some more tightness in their controls.

However, Burn the Rope can provide some fun, and is worth a download.
