Pros: By far my favorite game on Xbox 360. Hands Down. Great story plot. Great game play. Great voice acting. I really don't know where to begin.
You take control of Sam Fisher, an ex-agent, a few years after Splinter Cell: Double Agent. There is surprising news about his assumed to be dead daughter and a terrorist organization looking to take down Washington D.C. First and foremost, the most impressive thing about the game is the incredible level of fluidity. Game missions are projected onto the wall to eliminate any option screens. There are times where short movies are projected on walls in order to fill gamers in on background story. Also, there are only loading scenes once you die.
Much like other splinter cell games, it's always about stealth. However, this time Sam is the hunter and stalks his enemies. With cool take downs and interrogation scenes, I ended up killing all enemies rather than avoiding. When hiding in shadows away from enemies, the screen turns into black and white and while visible, color returns. Therefore, Sam is much quicker in hiding and the game play is much more fun.
However, if you get too cocky and have too much fun killing enemies you'll most likely get detected. This is signified by a silhouette of your last known position. The enemy's AI is pretty good and they will focus their attention on that spot. Therefore, you should flank them at this point. Mark and Execute is also a nifty tool. You can line up several enemies to take down in a succession with head shots. It's extremely useful when taking down a large number of enemies.
The single player is great but relatively short. However, there is a much more entertaining co-op version. You have the option of playing as Kestrel or Archer. Basically the same person, with different lights on your head. The controls are exactly the same as Sam's and the co-op is the prequel to Conviction. Co-op truly captures the meaning of cooperative play. If one person dies, then the mission fails. Moreover, the mark and execute feature is cooperative as well. If one player marks enemies, the second player may shoot the targets depending on the angles.
Overall this game is great. I definitely recommend it and it's by far the best Splinter Cell.
Definite Buy.
Cons: Too Short. No real cons.
