Pros: First of all, I have to give props and a personal note to the game’s name (well, the “Everyday Jam” part), because it reminded me of just about every mix tape (yes, tape) that I have ever made. Nearly all had a scribbled title with a variation on the word “Jam.” Exhibit A – for a friend: “[insert person’s name] Jams.” Exhibit B – for a sleep mix and/or House Party 2 inspired P. J. party: “Pajama Jammie Jams.” Exhibit C – inspired by Theodore Huxtable: “Jammin’ on the One.”
I could go on.
But, sadly I must speak of this unfortunate game with a seemingly benevolent premise. The “jam” does not refer to sweet jammin' music; instead, it’s a humdrum traffic jam, and the player rotates eco friendly cars to escape the city without accident. You can also collect three steering wheels in each level for an added bonus and challenge. The underlying...
Cons: For starters, “Push-Cars: Everyday Jam” is no fun because it takes place in a traffic jam. I play iOS and Android games so I can ignore the traffic jam outside of my bus.
Also, the touch control is really slippery – I will line up a car to my preference, and as I’m releasing my finger, the alignment will become offset. Then, when I try to readjust, the pressure / movement will trigger the car to accelerate, causing an accident and a redo of the entire level. The rotation options should really just be in 90 degree increments only. The game is about the strategy of choosing the right car to rotate, not nitpicking the angle in which it moves on a straight road. Annoying.

The underlying (or really hit-you-over-the-head) message is that electric cars are environment saving heroes. But if you’ve ever seen that episode of “South Park,” electric cars really just create smug. Ba dum dum.
But seriously folks, I’m all for positive messages in games; however, “Push-Cars: Everyday Jam” is no fun and it’s up its own tailpipe. Cough.
