a perfect game from the present (2 posts)

I love games; I will play them at all hours and
can find merit in just about any game.  However, few in recent history
have really reached the level of true love for me (i.e. “this game was made for
me.  It’s perfect and it speaks to me
like the games I grew up with, the games that shaped me”).  This week, I met another infrequent soul mate
- “Sir Benfro’s Brilliant Balloon.”
This game is certainly not for everyone, and this post is not a ploy for
converts; I was just wondering if anyone else has been recently struck (in the
last year or so) by a game they thought to be perfect, something to deeply rival
their favorite games of their childhood.

A game that definitely brought me back was Double Fine’s Costume Quest. Not the best game ever, but.. something about it, just made me feel like a kid again.
